How do I rotate LVDS display 90d with Qt5 Widgets on mx6 (OpenGL ES)

Question asked by Otto Blom on Jul 21, 2014

Hi There,

We have a 480x800 LCD Display that we would like to use in landscape mode with gstreamer for background video and Qt5 Widgets for the UI. Rotating the video is straightforward by passing rotate=270 to the mfw_v4lsink element, however we have not been able to rotate the Qt5 Widget UI. It is my understanding that rotation is typically handled by the framebuffer and set through the sysfs interface, but that does not appear to work.

Are there any solutions to this ?

Thanks in advance,
