Hello community,

the description of RDIMX6SABREAUTO says "i.MX 6Quad and i.MX 6Dual Lite can be configured as an i.MX 6Dual and i.MX 6Solo processor for lower CPU load applications".

As we are planning a project with i.MX6 Solo and there is no suitable SABRE platform for this processor, I would like to know how exactly this works.

Simply by writing the "NUM_CORES" fuse (if it is writable at all)?

The RDIMX6SABREPLAT description does not mention this feature at all, but I expect that there is also the possibility to disable one core... Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Best Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin

for Solo one needs to add maxcpus=1 this is described

in i.MX_6Dual6Quad_SABRE-SD_Linux_Release_Notes.pdf

included in Doc bundle L3.0.35_4.1.0_LINUX_DOCS .

Also one can look at document About_i.MX6Solo_DL_LinuxBSP.pdf.

Best regards

Thanks for your answer. I hoped, there was something more "low-level" than limiting the number of used CPUs in software.

Hi chip,

can you give me a hint, where I can find the document About_i.MX6Solo_DL_LinuxBSP.pdf?

It seems not to be part of any Documentation or BSP packages I downloaded yet...

Best Regards

Martin
