Hi community,

Our partner have a question about i.MX6Q HDMI output.

They modified /etc/asound.conf as following to output audio data to HDMI.

/etc/asound.conf

=====

pcm.dmix_44100{

type dmix

ipc_key 5678293

ipc_key_add_uid yes

slave{

pcm "hw:1,0"         // <-- modify from hw:0,0 to hw:1,0

period_time 40000

buffer_time 360000

format S16_LE

rate 44100

}

}

=====

Now, Yocto BSP (L3.10.17_1.0.0-ga) outputs no i.MX6Q HDMI audio siganal when no video is playback.

Actually some HDMI receiver output noise after video playback is finished if i.MX6Q outputs no audio signal.

So our partner want to change it to output "silent data" when no video is playback.

Could you let me know how to modify?

Best Regards,

Satoshi Shimoda
