video framerate iMX23 and iMX28

Hi,

what video performance is possible with iMX23 and iMX28 processor? fps with VGA out to LCD, input from SD-Card. If you have experience, let me know. Please with details like codec, RAM speed and size. And LCD frame update, for this burdens the memory bus. I would also be interested in documents on freescale web site I didn't found.

Hello Rolf,

In the codec's package or codec's documentation you have a html doc called "FeatureMatrix_MX233.html” or "FeatureMatrix_MX28.html”. You can find information about Resolution/Framerate, etc. These devices have to decode the video by software, there is not hw acceleration.
