Hi,

We are using MC9S12A128BCPV  based board. I debug it using USB mulitlink P&E debugger and target name is P&E. Attached ini file for this target.

I use CODE WARRIOR IDE VERSION 5.9.0

As this was legacy program, we don't have proper programming environment, based on my work, i have following questions on programming the processor.

My question is: when i run this using debugger, the code will be flashed automatically into the processor. Will this be equivalent to flashing the processor using a s19 file?

After successful compilation 3 binaries are getting generated.

1. **.abs

2. **.abs.phy

3. **.abs.s19

few more questions on these binaries:

1. I understand s19 file format and this can be used for flashing record by record, but when *.abs and *.phy will be useful?

2. True time simulator uses *.abs file to debug, will this flash *.abs file first into flash and then starts debugging?

3. There is an option in true time simulator to program with desired *.abs file.

HC12MultilinkCyclonePro  -> LOAD

This has option for ERASE flash and EEPROM and program. This option loaded the processor using *.abs file.

Can this option also used for programming my processor?

Kindly suggest your thoughts on this.

Regards,

Rambabu
