The Vybrid part on the Vybrid Tower is the PVF61GS151CMK50.
I understand the "P" means "Engineering Sample".
But what does the "G" mean?
It's not in the EC data sheet or the list of devices one can buy....
From my understanding, the 'G' stood for Graphics - as at one point, accelerated graphics support was considered for the Vybrid Tower in early prototypes. However, this support is not included in the final revision of the Vybrid Tower. The 'G' is an artifact of that.
Timesys Support can you help here?
So this means the Graphics Modules (the "DCU4", as outlined in the Vybrid Reference Manual section 2.5.8, P115) is not present in the "G" chip?
We are laying out the PCB; we just want to make sure we're using the correct part.
The DCU module is present on this chip. It does not supply hardware accelerated 3d graphics. There are 2 DCU modules present, DCU0 and DCU1. DCU0 is used to display graphics on the TWR-LCD-RGB module, and DCU1 is not broken out. Let me know if you have any questions.
