Kernel panic in imx6q when used in multicore mode

Dear all,

We are running Android 4.0.4 on our Custom SOM based on iMX6Q (part no- MCIMX6Q5EYM10AC) with 2 GB Hynix RAM (part no- H5TQ4G63AFR-H9C) and we observe random kernel panic when run on 2,3or 4 cores and also the temperature shoots very rapidly (max was 81degC that we observed before it crashed). The same configuration works perfectly on single core with temperature maintained under 71 degC. Initially we had to apply LDO ramp patch for it to run properly at least on 1 core. Is there any other patch that will fix this problem.

Any thoughts will be appreciated

Thanks

Amit

Check that voltages on VDD_ARM_IN, VDD_SOC_IN, VDD_ARM_CAP and VDD_SOC_CAP are within the limits specified in the datasheet and that there's no extensive ripple etc. Also memory configuration should be checked and verified with DDR stress tester tool. These two are typical sources of problems with stability on higher load/frequencies.
