Hi community,

I recently bought the i.MX6SL evaluation kit with 2 pre-flashed SD cards containing android images.

I erased one of the drives to upload binaries from the SDK.

I now want to put the android image back on it.

I am using the "i.MX6SL_EVK_SD_Demo_Image" tools where there are .exe files that extract to the SD cards.

No matter how I format the SD card (in windows, linux, etc.) I cannot get windows to show that it has more than 7.4GB making the demo image tool give me the error: "The disk drive (7.4 GB) is too small to fit the image file (7.46GB)"

Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. I'm using Windows 7 - 32-bit if that matters.

Well,

I caved and bought a 16GB card.

The tools flashed it but it won't boot:

booti: device don't have such partition:boot

fastboot is in init......flash target is MMC:1

Bad partition index:1 for partition:boot

Bad partition index:2 for partition:recovery

Bad partition index:5 for partition:system

I gave up and ended up using the MGFTool.

This is the only way I can get android to boot, the image utility does not work for me.

Please note that different models of SD cards with the same "market" capacity
may actually have a bit different real capacity. I mean "8GB" card of one brand
may have 8002732032 bytes and another 8019509248 bytes.

Unfortunately the card used for creating this image was not the minimalst
and your card is a bit less.

Of cource you can look over several 8GB cards and find one that is equal
or more than the image. However I can suggest simply to use 16GB card
to burn the image.

Perhaps I wasn't clear.

The card I am using is the card that originally had the image on it.

It is the card that shipped with the original EVK board.

It seems like a waste to buy a new card when I KNOW this card works.
