CodeWarrior for old Palm Pilots

Hi everyone. This is my very first post on this forum. I am wanting to develop some specific software for the older Palm Pilots (non USB). I mean the Palm Pilots with the RS 232 serial connector.

I am unsure if the available CodeWarrior packages for Palm OS will be backwards compatible with the older Palms.....Palm Pilots such as the Palm IIIc that runs Palm OS 3.5. The Palm IIIc was the first Palm with a color screen.

Is there anyone here that develops for the Palm OS? and what sort of software are you developing? I have some splendid ideas for interested people.

Regards
Psy :robottongue:

Sorry, Freescale no longer supports CodeWarrior development for Palm or desktop OSes (Windows and Mac). You best bet at support and finding like-mided developers will be at the Palm Developer Network. Hope this helps,

Thanks for that about the COdeWarrior Palm question. Did you mean that there is no CodeWarrior for Palm at all? or no codewarrior for Palm that runs on windows and mac?

What does CodeWarrior now run on? CodeWarrior for Palm that is?

thanks:smileysurprised:

CodeWarrior is now a Windows-based product used for embedded programming. Anything not having to do with embedded programming (such as Mac, Windoews, and Palm) has been sold off or discontinued. There may be copies of CodeWarrior for Palm still about, but we no longer support them. I'm not familiar with the old Palm toolset so I can't say what platform it ran on.
