Is it possible to download or debug program to TWR-MPC5125 tower module through the on board OSBDM debugger. The manual says so, but I am not able to find any detailed documentation regarding this.
No, the on-board debug circuit was never enabled with software to do the debug connection for MPC5125. It only does a serial-to-usb bridge, so a terminal can be sent to a host computer via the cdc usb class. It enumerates like a COM port on the computer.
The MPC5125 webpage for "hardware development tools" only lists the Greenhills or iSystems hardware debuggers. Surely there are more available than this? They both look expensive, is there an entry level debugger available?
USB Tap from Freescale supports it.
Thanks for your reply. I can't seem to find one that supports the MPC5125. The only PPC USB-TAP that I can find is stated as only supporting the PowerQUICC I (MPC8xx).
Can you post a link?
