Hi everyone,

I've downloaded thi image on the SD card using MfgTools2. The OS starts correctly. I can attach and use a mouse. When I attach a keyboard (a standard one), the OS recognizes it, but I ca't use it.

When I plug it in I get this message:

usb 1-1: new low speed USB device number 2 using fsl-ehci

usb 1-1: device v413c p2003 is not supported

input: Dell Dell USB Keyboard as /devices/platform/fsl-ehci.0/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0/input/input7

generic-usb 0003:413C:2003.0001: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.10 Keyboard [Dell Dell USB Keyboard] on usb-fsl-ehci.0-1/input0

Full log attached.

Any hints?

Thanks!

As log indicates, seems that the device is not supported. Try finding the device source code on the web and integrate with LTIB's kernel.

I've started building a Linux OS from L3.0.35_4.1.0 with LTIB. In the packages configuration I didn't find something that seems related to keyboard, like HID or similar. Just usbtools, that was already selected. Is there any package that could be useful for using human interfaces? (i.e. keyboards) Do I need to do something more advanced that just adding a package via LTIB configuration?

Thanks

Massimo

You think that any USB keyboard isn't supported? Or the device I'm actually using? As I told you, is quite a regular keyboard, nothing fancy.

I'll take a look about how to integrate the driver with LTIB. Any quick and (not-so) dirt hints?

Thanks!

Hi Massimo, no idea what is going on. Regular keyboard should work out of the box. Which board are you using? Have you had success with other keyword?

I've attacched a Trust standard keyboard with no luck.

On the other hand, using Ubuntu Onereic image, I was able to use the keyboard. So it really seems to be something driver-dependant.
