Processor Expert w/ CW 4.6 for HCS12 problems locking up?

I am using CW 4.6 for the HCS12.

When I try to launch Processor expert, I get windows execution error messages and PE locks up while starting.  CW continues to work, but the PE window is locked in front of everything else.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
Any idea whats going on?

I've re-installed it twice, but still the same thing.

I also have CW 5.1 and 6.0 installed and they both work fine.

Hello BadDad

Oh, strange. What version of windows do you use?

Do you mean processor expert works fine in this versions?

What execution error? Is this behaviour the same with any MCU or did you try it just with one of them?
Did the Processor expert with CW4.6 works on your machine well before or is it new installation?

So I finished tests:
I installed clean WindowsXP (you did not mention OS version), then CW5.1, CW6.0 and CW4.6.. first project with PE tooks little more time to create (hang for approx 45s on PE init), but then everything works fine.

Please provide more information.
Meanwhile I can suggest you clean-up procedure (see attachement) - but it is a little bit time consuming.

I am running Windoze XP (tablet PC version).

The first error is "access violation at address 0013CFB1.  Write of address 00000001."

Then "access violation .... in module "PE_Plugin.dll"..."

Then PE just sits on it's opening screen and never gets any further.

PE works fine in each of my HC08 versions of CW.
