Hi everyone
I'm working on glucose meter project and Im not sure wat component I should use
based on my research i need opamps, triamps, ADC, DAC .. but isnt Kinetis K50 or K53 includes them all?
and wat can i use instead of K50?
Hi Shahrzad,
K50 Family is suited for medical applications. Here is the K50 Family block diagram; as you can see the analog part has ADC, DAC, OPAMP and TRIAMP
And here is the Glucose Meter Fundamentals and Design AppNote: http://cache.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/app_note/AN4364.pdf?fpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Application...
Best Regards,
Alberto
well thank you both Ping and Alberto
but I don't have any access to K50 and I'm looking for cheaper MUC that

Hi Shahriari,
I'm glad to see your reply and I think it must has some MCU could meet your requirement from Freescale. So you can choose the MCU which you want by the help of Solution Advisor and the link is below.

Thank you Ping
you were so helpful
You're welcome.
Hi Shahriari,
I think the Kinetis K50 series can meet your requirements. Attached is K50 Family Product Brief which provide a lot information of K50 series and you can browse it.
Freescale also provide Glucose Monitor application based on K50 for customer.
First link is about Continuous Glucose Monitor and the second is about Pulse Oximeter Fundamentals and Design

Is there any other MUC that I can use instead of the Kinetis series?
Hi Shahriari,
Does not the K50 series MCU meet your requirement? If not, you can choose K60 or K70 as replacement.
The K50 MCU family provides designers with an analog measurement engine consisting of
integrated operational and transimpedance amplifiers as well as high-resolution ADC and DAC
modules and is very suitable for medical measurement.

Ping
