Int Flash DDRData Debug - Temperature

Hi,

I'm working on a custom board with MK70FX512VMJ15 and MT47H64M16 by using IAR IDE.

When I running Int Flash DDRData Debug on my project which base on project, twrk70f120m, project is running, but my board is heating up.

DDR2 and MCU is heating up to ~50 Celsius.

Anyone trying on this set up on IAR or CW?

Is this normal?

Thank you.

Hi SK Teh.

have you check the current? probably you have a solder short that is causing that the MCU and the DDR2 is heating up. Also all the time the device has 50 celsius, if you put the project on stop mode, you also have this temperature? If this is the case, probably you have a manufacture issue on your board.

I hope this will help you.

Hi Pedro Vicente Gomez Salazar,

The current is high, about extra 2.4W is consumed.

Is the ODT activated in MQX?

I took out all the termination resistors for DDR2 because I'm not using the LTC3618 which will provide the VTT_DDR2.

Could this be the problem of heating?
