Minimum RCON for QuadSPI Boot ?

If I always want to boot from QuadSPI, are the following the only RCON pins that need to be driven?:

BMODE[1:0] = 10 (use RCON)

RCON4-7 = BOOT_CFG1[7:4] = 0000 to select QuadSPI

RCON1 = BOOT_CFG1[1] = 0/1 to select which QuadSPI (0 or 1)

Can I ignore and leave floating ALL other RCON pins and be assured that it will reliably boot from the specified QuadSPI?

Thanks, Chris

Hello Chris,

I guess, since you are simply quoting our Reference Manual, which does not mention any other RCON bits, it is correct that their states are 'Do not care' for the QuadSPI boot.

Sincerely, Naoum Gitnik.

Hi,

  It's also important to tie RCON31 to ground. Otherwise the BootROM stays in an infinite loop and will not boot from any boot interface.
