M4 or A5 preferred?

Question asked by John Fielden on Jul 6, 2013

Hi, my project is looking to use the A5 to do higher end processing, and the M4 to do the housekeeping and maintain state.   I've been told that the only parts available for order are the standard and the enhanced cache versions.  I think we'll want the enhanced cache version anyway to help with some DSP functions we are doing.

If we buy the enhanced cache version, can the A5 boot up and turn control over to the M4?  I'd like the A5 to be off or idle most of the time, with the M4 in a deep sleep or waking to handle a simple user interface on occasion.  Possible?  Caveats?
