Can anyone explain what the difference is between an IMX6Q which has part number SC6Q888YM10AC and all others which are prefixed 'MCIMX6Q'?
I have a board with this part number and chip errata documentation describes 'SC' as 'Special'

This is the first release of the i.MX6 family, it is not recommended to start designs with it because the difference between this part and the ones that start with MCIMX6 has important changes.
