Hello,

I have 2 questions about CW 10.4.

1) I installed the new IDE and I saw that, otherwise CW10.2, Ide utilities are not installed in CW 10.4 directory.

I need the "piper.exe" tool. Where can I find this tool and other utilities? Is there an installation pack?

2) I try to use CW10.4 on virtual box virtual machine, I am not able to connect by USB multilink with my K60. Furthermore when I try to use the USB multilink with virtual machine the link does not work with my "real" machine too! If I stop the VM the everything works fine again. Is there some counterindication about using USB multilink with VMs?

Regards,

Daniele

Hi Daniele,

I only can answer 1):

the piper.exe utility is installed as

C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.4\MCU\prog\piper.exe

for me. So I have it.

Could it be that you have not installed the HCS08 tools?

Regards,

Erich

You should be able to re-run the setup (if you have the 'offline' installer), and then select the HCS08 tools to be added.

Or to use Help > Install New software and select the Freescale update site:

FSL MCU Eclipse Update Site - http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/MCU10_4/com.freescale.mcu.updatesite
