compatibility of S12HY with the old USB multilink BDM(P&E Micro)?

Hi guys,

Just bought a S9S12HY64J0MLL recently and I was wondering it it works with the old USB multilink BDM programmer? I am asking because in the datasheet for the programmer it says that it supports the S12XHY series and not the S12HY series. Just wondering if I have to buy the latest USB multilink from P&E to work with this micro. Let me know

Cheers

K

Should work. Multilink is just an interface, all programming algorithms are done by PC. So it should work with  all 1-wire BDM devices (6pin BDM connector). RS08 devices require 12V programming voltage, and it is available only starting from Rev C  Multilink. S12 and S12X don't need 12V for programming.
