gplay, gst-launch : issues on video palyback only imx28 base h/w with audio support.

Question asked by surajit.pal on Sep 15, 2012

Hello,

We are trying to video playback only over iMX28 base customize borolo h/w, This h/w is not supported any audio.

Do you have any suggestions for helping us with these following issues given below & attached.  Any help would be appreciated.

we have changed  kernel configuration and selected gstreamer/multimedia codecs packages using ltib kernel/menu config and build successfully.

------------------------------------------------------

We have configured for kernel driver in ltib :

Linux Kernel Configuration->

  Device Drivers->

    Multimedia support ->

      Video For Linux

       Enable Video For Linux API 1 (DEPRECATED)  //but "Enable Video For Linux API compatible layer" this field doesn't exists. ********

      Compile Remote Controller keymap modules

      Enable IR raw decoder for ... (all of them)

      Video capture adapters ->

      MXS PxP

------------------------------------------------------

Packages selects for gstreamer/multimedia codecs : ltib menu config Freescale Multimedia Plugins/Codecs -->

  [*]  gstreamer-fsl-plugins

---gstreamer

  [*] gstreamer-plugins-good

------------------------------------------------------

"/dev/video0" node is created successfully.

Under "/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/' this folder  ::  "libmfw_gst_mpeg4aspdec.so"   lib is created.

We used .mp4 media format that contains mpeg4 video stream only. We are trying to run gplay/gst-launch/gst-inspect for only video play only, some warning/errors console message, log file is also attached here.

"(gst-inspect-0.10:2326): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libmfw_gst_mpeg4aspdec.so': lib_MPEG4ASP_dec_arm9_elinux.so.1.2.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

If we make this symbolic link manually after that able to run gplay/gst-launch without error/warning message on console but no video playback output on lcd screen(4.3 inch, 7 inch).

With Regards,
