CW4.6 free or not??

is CW4.6 HCS12(X) free or not? cause when i try to download and make a request they rejected it.......and filling it up wont have any effect for me to have a copy....i'm confused.T_T.

hello, i don't know if i'm the only one having this problem but i think there's an error in the download page when using the latest Opera browser........ i always got stuck there and no box seems to appear, but when i use the Internet Explorer, luckily i still didn't Delete it, i mage to download the software.......is there really something wrong or i just change something in the Opera's parameters?????

I'm not familiar with Opera, but if the browser's either blocking pop-ups or Javascript, the download may not start. You may have to temporarily turn off those security features before performing the download.

What is the Service Request # you received back from the system ?
The notice asks you to report if you think there is an error.
I don't see any export control restriction against your country.

OK, I checked with the license/eport people at Freescale, here's the deal: According to the export administrator your request didn't have a specific/full mailing address, no company name, and only a yahoo e-mail account (which could be used from anywhere). If the information supplied can't be verified, we cannot grant the request. If you resubmit the request with verifiable information, the request can be granted.

I know that sometimes, for security reasons, you'd rather not enter such information, but realize that Freescale has to comply with the Federal Export law, which means requests with inadequate information will be rejected.

it goes like this...first i try to DL the special ed. and then fill out the form as true as possible cause i cannot really tell when can i finished my work and tehn submit it but after a few days they send a mail that says it was rejected. and then i try another but this time i try to get an evaluation copy but still the same...i really dont get it...is it free or is it not??

The Special Edition is free, but with limited features. I think you're running up against an export restriction. Can you send me via the private messaging system the details of the rejection notice (ideally just forward the e-mail itself to me) and where you are located so I can send this to the licensing people to work out? I'm sorry this is turning into a headache for you.

There is a Special Edition of CodeWarrior 4.6 for HCS12(X) that has limited capabilities that can be downloaded, and sounds like what you're after. There is a form you have to fill out when downloading this software. However, you need to give me more information in order to help you. What exactly happened when when you say "made a request and they rejected it"? Did you have to send in a second form for approval? There are some countries to which the "export" of software is restricted. And it could be a glitch. But I need more detail for the licensing people to work with.
