Why aren't my paths anti-aliased on OpenVG?

A common problem when it appears that paths are not being properly blended using source over destination mode or antialiased is that the path is being drawn on top of nothing.  If there is nothing that is drawn under the path, the blending of the path results in the equivalent of full opacity.


To avoid this situation, draw a background region before drawing the paths.
