Hi!
I've compiled and tried many kernels over the last days and no kernel seems to support 1280x1024 resolution setting for the VGA connector on the i.MX53 QSB.
Only the original 2.6.35.3 kernel branch for IMX seems to support this resolution.
VGA output works well, but the kernel ignores the u-boot settings for the VGA output and permanently switches to 1024x768@60.
Has someone tried and sucessfully got SXGA on VGA working with newer self-compiled kernels (e.g. 3.6.39) ?
Kind regards
Kai
Kernel says on bootup:
mxc_sdc_fb mxc_sdc_fb.0: register mxc display driver vga
_regulator_get: get() with no identifier
imx-ipuv3 imx-ipuv3.0: Channel already disabled 9
imx-ipuv3 imx-ipuv3.0: Channel already uninitialized 9
imx-ipuv3 imx-ipuv3.0: IPU DMFC DP HIGH RESOLUTION: 1(0,1), 5B(2~5), 5F(6,7)
imx-ipuv3 imx-ipuv3.0: Channel already disabled 10
imx-ipuv3 imx-ipuv3.0: Channel already uninitialized 10
mxc_sdc_fb mxc_sdc_fb.1: register mxc display driver vga
mxc_sdc_fb mxc_sdc_fb.1: register mxc display driver failed with -22
So driver for fb1 fails to register :(
Kind regards
Kai
Look at this:
and this:
Does your kernel have the SXGA entry on fb modes?
