Any suggestion for embedded Wi-Fi?

Hi everyone,

I start a new design with I.MX51.  I'm looking for an embedded Wi-Fi module on my board.

I saw the RS9110-N-11-26 from "Redpine signals".  I'm looking for something like that but this one has max 65Mbps.

I would like 802.11abgn with 150Mbps max.

Any suggestion?

Thx, Maxime

Hey Max,

As far I read in datasheet of RS9110-N-22-01, which could be your second option, Redpine does not charge for license... The N-22-01 is open firm-ware ready to work.

I just catch up your answer.

The best option we found - so far - is the module RS9110-N-11-03.  We don't want to use a chipset, we prefer to go with a module for a couple of reasons...

We are actually dealing with Redpine regarding the expensive annual license for using their products...  I'll let you know.

Thanks, Max

Does it have to be a module? The Redpine Signals RS9116  does 150mbps and has an SDIO interface so it can interface to the i.MX51.
