Hello, I need help.
that's my problem: I have download codewarrior for dsp 56f.... (version 7.0) and I have installed on my pc, everything is ok.

After that i have download codewarrior for coldfire and 68k (last version), i have installed on the same machine.
When i try to compile project for 68k, I have an error from window: "The memory cannot be read......".

Moreover, Codewarrior for 68k is installed on the same path of the 56F. Where i must copy the license.dat file ?

Thanks

Hello

Are you saying you are trying to run CodeWarrior for DSP568xx V7.x and CodeWarrior for M68K / Coldfire V3.x on the same PC?

The two software are not running on the same IDE.
You have to install the tools in two separate (distinct) directory on your host.

Place license file for each tool in its own root installation directory.
You cannot install both versions in the same root directory.

Ok, But i have download and install first (2 or 3 month ago) the DSP IDE, and then last week
the 68K IDE.
I don't make change to intall (I accept all the default setting), and the install place the file in the same directory (c:\.......\Code Warrior).
I don't know where i must place the license.dat, and if i try to compile with the 68K ide i have an error from windows.

what's the problem ????
I must remove the DSP IDE to make work the 68K ?????????? :smileysad:

Please help me

Hello

You should NOT install the two products in the same location.
Right now only solution is:
  1- Uninstall DSP tools
  2- Uninstall M68K tools
3- Delete original installation directory and its content from the disk.
  4- Re-install 68K software
5- Re-install DSP software in a different directory

THere is no other way you can get it all working.

mmmhhhhhh,
terrible setup ....
OK, i remove both the IDE, but for me it's a setup problem because if
the 2 IDE are different product, must stay in different directory by setup.
In fact if You install for example the Hc08 IDE and the DSP IDE you don't have to change nothing in the install process and all is ok.

Thank You

Hello

I do not know how the default installation directory is defined. The reality is that the two CodeWarrior products must be installed in separate installation directory.

Also keep in mind that M68K software is pretty old, and will not be updated any more.
