Hi,

I just purchased a USB TAP and cannot get our CodeWarrior software to work with it.  I've installed the "ROHS_USBTAP_Update.exe" file and rebooted, but it didn't make any difference.

Every time I click on the Debugger icon in CodeWarrior, I get the message:

CCSProtocolPlugin:CCS:core not supported.

I can see that many others have had this problem, but I haven't found anybody who ever got it working...

    Do you have any suggestions?

Please help,

Bill

Hello

Which processor are you targeting (Coldfire, MPC, ...)?
Which version of CodeWarrior are you using?
To retrieve CodeWarrior version number:
  - Start IDE
  - Select Help -> "About Freescale CodeWarrior"
  - Click on "Installed products"
Version number is written on the top of the dialog. It would also be helpful to know which patches you
have installed on top of that. THese are also indicated there.

Hi Crasy Cat,

Just wanted to let you know that I got I can now talk w/the emulator.  My main problem was that I had CW v8.5 and had to get CW v8.6.

I'm now having a problem where I can only see 1/2 of my SDRAM, but I will scan the info in this forum before I cry for help again.  If I can't get it figured out, I'll start a new thread.

Thanks,

Bill
