Hello, I am new to this forum as well as Freescale MPUs and all MPUs for that matter. I am currently looking into building a high speed single board computer to analyze sensor data on a mobile robot. I have experience programming MicroChips PIC MCUs in BASIC. I have no background in C however. I am wondering if it would be seem possible to build a small computer based on PowerPC or ColdFire MPUs capable of operating at around 5,000 MIPS and have it programmed in under 5 months. I know that this might seem ridiculous but I simply need the processing power and I am on a tight schedule. I could also use several small computers running slower for this application. I appreciate any help/suggestions!
