Hello,

The MCU is MC9S08GB60,and the Codewarrior Version is 5.7.

I want to debuger sci0 use the HIWAVE simulator.
I printf a string throught the sci0,i can get the information in SCDO
window.

But i can get nothing in the Component Terminal.

How can i correctly redirect the sci0 to the Component Terminal in the simulator?

Best Regards!

Thanks!!

Hello

Unfortunately this is not possible with the HC08 Full Chip Simulator.

This is based on a technology, where simulation is not extendible.
This is possible on HC12 simulator only.

Hello

As far as I know this is not working in the HC08 tools today.
I have forwarded a request for extension around that to our planning people.

For the moment if you want to look at what is written to the SCI serial port, you have to open a Hyperterminal session and connect it to your Host serial port you have connected to SCI0.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

In HIWAVE.hlp i found the below:

Only some specific simulator target components currently have a Sci0 object. For all other simulator  target components, the Terminal component does not work unless a user defined Sci0 object with the specified register name is loaded.

Metrowerks Europe - August 2002

Becasue i want to do software test,so i want to do it in simulator, maybe can i develop the  Sci0 object myself?

Or maybe you can tell me how long will this be available in HC08?

Thank you very much!

Best Regards,

jack
