CodeWarrior for Coldfire 7.2 is technically only supported on Win XP/Vista 32-bit machines. If you have Win7 or a 64-bit machine, you'll need to use the new CodeWarrior 10, which you can download from here: http://freescale.com/cwmcu10
The latest MQX supports Windows 7, but it's recommend to choose a different directory than the default C:\Program Files\Freescale\Freescale MQX 3.6 that it will try to install to. This is due to how Win7 does permissions in the C:\Program Files directory, since you'll need write access to the directory to compile the libraries.
Hope that helps!
I'm new to the tower and Freescale development.
Is there a kindof "Hello World" tutorial / project for the MCF5225X tower (or another version) with CW10? I may not be looking in the right place mind you.
Also, what else do I have to install? I found the MQX download page at http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=MQXRTOS&tid=m32MQX but I'm not sure which option to choose. Do I need the communication suite and the file system? I do have the TWR-SER module as well.
Sorry for all the questions, I hope you're able to at least point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help!
