3 new preproduction Tower boards
Since we brought out all of our Tower cards sales have been low plus over time we have had to compete with Freescale. Our original agreement with Freescale in the beginning was we would not compete with them. At the end of 2013 I cancelled all sales of Tower cards as individuals. We are still shipping our 6-slot Tower System with the M-18 robotic arm.
Unfortunately I did not know anyone else made Tower cards. Sorry to hear that it hasn't worked out as well as you would have liked William.
Thanks Shaun. We continue to use them and as need will design another one for a specific job. I have 2 more in the works but holding inventory for "potential sales" was killing us. And again usually a year after we released one a similar one would come out of Freescale, so it was not worth the effort. We still maintain our list so if someone need something it could be provided.
We are also getting ready to release an industrial pack that allows for card enclosure, single backplane plug-in with integrated power supply and possibly hot-swap or live-swap. Card modules will start at IPC54 but I am pushing for IPC62 or 64.
I wouldn't have thought that Freescale would make enough margin on tower boards to make it worthwhile to bring out something similar to what's already available. Can you post a link to your site, I'd be interested to see what you have there.
www.c-linksystems.com The board page was removed but the info form I do not believe has been updated. That will have part numbers and I can email you data sheets on them.
