I'm in the process of familiarizing myself with CodeWarrior, MQX and 5225x MCU's.
Using the often mentioned M52259DEMOKIT sounds like a nice way to get my feet wet.
However, all vendors have 0 in stock and the item is marked as 'no longer manufactured'.
Is there a suitable (low cost) replacement for this demo/eval board/kit (avilable or planned)?
If not .. any other suggestions for (3rd party?) eval boards?
Farnell/Newark have 63 in stock:
M52259DEMOKIT - FREESCALE SEMICONDUCTOR - KIT, KIRIN 3 DEMONSTRATION KIT | element14 Australia
I have the M52259DEMOKIT and also the M52259EVB but I tend to use the CMM52259 from Axiom Manufacturing as it is a core module and you can use it in your final product:
CMM-52259-DEV | Axiom Manufacturing
Good luck with it all, the MCF52259 is an excellent device.

hello,
the M52259DEMOKIT could be replaced by TWR-MCF5225X controller module, it's a little bit more expensive, but it should do the job.
