Hi all,

I am running a program with MC9S12XD256(80 pin), CW5.0, P&E Multilink tool. Some time when i power off the target board and power up again, using P&E Multilink to download and debug always indicates 'page 4000 is bad or protected',' page C000 is bad or protected'. Then I need to remove external oscillator(8MHz), using MCU internal  oscillator can be programming the flash.

That's  very appreciate, If you can have look at this.

Removing 8MHz crystal, you are switching to lower MHz self clock mode. Do you have any pull up resistor on BKGD? What value it is. I think that you may have too high R*C on BKGD. Shorting BKGD track length or lowering pull up resistance should help.
