I am using Nichelite stack with MCF3223X Demo board, if I have Ethernet connected to board, boots faster (4 Seconds), I have LCD display to GPIO, LCD comesup after 3 Seconds it boots.
If I don't have Ethernet to baord, takes 20 Seconds to boot, takes 2 Minuest for LCD to comeup, any idea why it takes longtime without Ethernet cable?.
Hi
I expect that the software is waiting for the link-up from the Ethernet to start working normally. It may have a timeout after 20s waiting and then allows the rest to start. You will need to remove any dependencies on the Ethernet Link-up and the LCD (etc.) if you want it to start irrespectively of the Ethernet state.

Thanks Mark, I adjusted counts.
There are 3 while loops, each one is 5 Sec, also if no ethernet, DHCP client keep on trying for 20 secs.
