I want to buy a CW license, I have not had one before.  I have a computer that dual boots Windows and Linux.  I would like to use CW10.2 on Linux for new projects but still be able to boot Windows and use Codewarrior Classic for older projects.  Will the one node-locked license intstalled on both OS's let me do this or do I need to purchase a dongle?

Thanks Shaun

Yes, the MAC address would be a consistent value for either operating system, so I would go with tying the license to that.

You need to take this up with the licensing people. You can file on on-line Service Request and specify licensing issue.

Thx Tom.  I did this and the reply was:

The node-locked license has to be registered with one of following parameters:

- system disk volume id
- usb dongle id
or
- primary network adapter MAC address

I assume the MAC address should be thesame and visible in both operating systems.

So it looks like it would be okay if I use the MAC address.
