Dear all:
Now we want to use S12X controller. And we have used HCS12 controller before. And we have the TBDML simulator, but now we wonder that if the TBDML can be used in the S12X controller? Thanks and we are eager for your answer.

TBDML has no problem talking to S12X, I am using it with XDP512 almost every day without any problems.

The tbdml might work with the S12X, but it doesn't implement all of the available functionality that a S12X BDM could, like setting break points for XGATE, etc.

To get a feeling for what can be done via BDM, see section 18 and 19 of the 9S12XDP256 users guide, which cover the BDM and Debugging modules.

Setting breakpoints is not a job for the cable. That is a job for the debugger. Do not mix the two tools together please.

The metrowerks S12X capable debugger works with TBDML.
