My company is currently working on a Mixed Reality Headset. And we are planning on using a SOM which is based on iMX8 from NXP. The SOM vendor we selected is Variscite. https://www.variscite.com/product/system-on-module-som/cortex-a72/spear-mx8-nxp-imx8/
The Mixed Reality OS is based on Ubuntu. And it seems like Ubuntu has not certified the hardware.
Does anyone have any solution we could use to run Ubuntu Dekstop on the selected SOM (based on iMX8)?
Maybe someone can suggest a different SOM vendor that supports it?
OR if there is another way we could make Ubuntu support the iMX8?
