Hello.

I have a PCB based on your i.MX 8QuadPlus MEK board. MIMX8QX6AVLFZA processor, pmik MC33PF8100FJES. Power circuit, reset as on i.MX 8QuadPlus MEK board.

I can't boot from microSD. I forgot to connect pin AE29 (TEST_MODE_SELECT) to ground. AE29 left unconnected.

In the document "i.MX8 QM / i.MX8 QXP Hardware Developer's Guide" they write: "TEST_MODE_SELECT (ball BC49 on the QM, and ball AE29 on the QXP) should be connected to ground".

Could this be the problem?

The screenshot cames from imx8qxp design files:

The TEST_MODE PINs of almost all i.MX processors are grounded.

Hi,

TEST_MODE_SELECT pin must be connected to GND, which means test mode is disabled.

So the root reason why your board can't start should be the wrong connection of this PIN.

   Have a nice day!

The datasheet says that this pin has a pull-down to the ground of 50 KΩ.

Will the processor be in test mode if this pin is left unconnected?
