pin mux conflict when using SAI2,SEMC for NAND flash, JTAG

Hi,

i am using iMXRT1064 and i had a requirement of two SAI channels for interfacing audio codec, NAND flash for database. In pin mux tool when i selected SAI2,SEMC modules. it is showing pin conflict with JTAG -TDI,TDO pins.

JTAG TDO (G13) - SAI2 MCLK

JTAG TDI (F13) - SAI2 TXDATA

If i change the alternate pins for SAI2 MCLK,TXDATA it is getting conflict with SEMC Data pins

SAI2 MCLK (H4) - SEMC-DAT07

SAI2 TXDATA (F2) - SEMC-DAT04

If i keep pins for JTAG and SAI2 module is firmware can be loaded into the processor. Is there any issues will occur

Hi kerryzhou.

If we want to use Jtag(not SWD) and SAI2 for audio at the same time.

is it possible?

Hi vamsit

If you want to use the JTAG related pin to SAI pin:

JTAG TDO (G13) - SAI2 MCLK

JTAG TDI (F13) - SAI2 TXDATA

It's OK, as the RT1064 in default use the SWD to debug the chip, not the JTAG.

If you don't need to use the JTAG, just use the SWD, it's OK to use the TDO and TDI as the SAI pin.

Wish it helps you!

If you still have questions about it, please kindly let me know!

Best Regards,

Kerry
