i.MXRT1064 FlexSPI can drive SPI SRAM?

I am starting with my new project based on i.MXRT1064.

I see FlexSPI peripheral is provided for external serial flash memories, maximum two devices per channel (A and B) in Quad SPI configuration.

One external NOR flash (e.g.: MT25Q) and one serial SRAM (e.g.:  N01S830) could be driven with the same FlexSPI channel A, sharing the FlexSPI bus and selected with FLEXSPI_A_SS0_B and FLEXSPI_A_SS1_B?

I'm not interested in booting from those memories, because I'm planning to boot only from the embedded flash memory of i.MXRT1064.

Hello

Hope you are well.
Unfortunately, this implementation might not be possible because although you have two channels each memory has their own frequency and timing requirements.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you.
I suggest you to check the SEMC module, the interface supported includes SDRAM, NOR Flash, SRAM and NAND Flash, as well as 8080 display interface.

If you have more questions do not hesitate to ask me.
Best regards,
Omar
