I read this info in the tech datasheet
But I also see this in the RT1170 EVK Board schematic.
Which one is correct? Does that mean I have only the half maximal frequency (500MHz indead of 1GHz) with the RT1170EVK?

It looks like there is an error in the data sheet since the high speed OSC is specified only for 24MHz operation and all PLLs sourcing from it need 24MHz to work correctly.

I have some other information in the reference manual (not the tech. datasheet)
I think there are different way to connect the oscillator or quartz to the chip.
I think in the EVK Board it is the 24MHz quartz. (maybe the tech. datasheet here confused a little...)
