FLEXRAM_AllocateRam function missing in SDK for RT1170

Dear all,
I'd like to reallocate the M7 FlexRAM on the RT1170 MCU but it looks like the function in the MCUXpresso SDK that is used to do that on other i.MX RT-processors (e.g. RT1060), namely FLEXRAM_AllocateRam, is missing in the SDK.
Can someone from NXP please confirm this, and comment on why this is missing? If this will be added in a future SDK release, is there a timeline for this and a work-around till it get's added?
I'm using the most recent SDK version 2.9.1.

Best
Michael

@michael_parthei

We redesigned this function and will be included in next release, SDK2.10,  maybe at the  early July or later June.

Regards

Daniel

Hi All

I also note that the i.MX RT FlexRAM applicationAN12077  note requires updating to include the i.MX RT 117X. However by experimenting with its operation it was possible to work out details of its default setting (when no eFUSES have been blown).

mjbcswitzerland_0-1618626977315.png

As illustrated in this diagram the default is for no OCR to be enabled, 256k DTC and 256k ITC.
The individual banks are configured with the first 4 assigned to DTC, the second 4 to ITC, the next 4 to DTC and the final 4 to ITC again.

The actual run-time reconfiguration is otherwise compatible with the i.MX RT 105x and i.MX RT 106x parts.

For more information see the chapter "RAM and Cache" in the uTasker i.MX RT 117X developer's guide at https://www.utasker.com/docs/iMX/i.MX_RT_1170_uTasker.pdf
