Does NXP support 3 pin SPI configuration as MISO, MOSI and CLK and CS will be controlled externally?

Hi,

In DMA mode of SPI transfer, we want to control CS signal externally not as part of DMA transfer trigger.

Does NXP MiMXRT-600 supports 3 pin SPI configuration as MISO, MOSI, and CLK. The CS will be controlled externally through GPIO?

If yes then anyone could help us please, how to do it?

Hi @gopichand_gs,

The SPI module does not natively support the 3 pin configuration you are mentioning. However, it should be possible to achieve it as long as the external CS signal is properly synced with the rest of the SPI frame, while ignoring the signal the SPI module produces on the CS pin.
