We are checking i.MX RT1064 for our future product, we would like to know if we need external RAM for code execution, or the code can be directly executed from on chip flash.

Igor,

what is the penalty/performance if executing from the 4 MB internal flash on the 1064 ?

(I know its probably hard to give a precise answer, I'm more after a "rule of thumb" regarding this)

Hi sivaram

I think performance is the same as with externally connected flash.

Best regards
