Can I.MX RT1050 XIP from encrypted parallel nor?

I'm assuming not considering I see no mention of it in any documentation.

Also what sort of performance bottle-neck would be seen with XIP from parallel flash? (encrypted or not)

How does this bottleneck compare to XIP from ultraflash or qpsi flash?

Hi Artur,

What other options are there for encrypted XiP support through means other than FlexSPI/serial NOR flash?

Thanks

Matt

You can also try this tool, with this tool, You can flash bare image into various boot devices easily and don't need to care about headers (ivt, boot data...)

No, there is no encrypted XiP support for parallel NOR Flash. The encrypted XiP is only supported for serial NOR Flash via the FlexSPI interface.

Have a great day,
Artur
