I have a doubt regarding SD/MMC manufacture mode described in the 1170 documentation.

According chapter 10.11 SD/MMC manufacture mode, "the boot goes to the SD/MMC manufacture mode before the serial download mode", but according 10.6.6.1 Expansion device eFUSE configuration and Table 26-4. MMC/eMMC boot fusemap SDMMC_MFG_MODE_DISABLE fuse is available only for SD or MMC/eMMC boot mode.

  1. When we set boot mode to internal (boot mode 10) with FlexSPI (bootcfg[7-4] 0000) is "SD/MMC manufacture mode" enabled or not?
  2. In case it's enabled can it be disabled by SDMMC_MFG_MODE_DISABLE fuse?
  3. In case it's enabled do we need to configure some other fuses to configure SD or MMC?
  4. can you link to some documentation about SD/MMC manufacture mode?

Hi Marco,

1. Enable or disable depends on fuse setting not on boot mode. Entering manufacture mode will indeed depend that other boot modes failed.

2. Yes.

3. You mean to use SD/MMC in application or you would like to boot from these? Maybe you can provide more background about what you are trying to implement.

4. Unfortunately, there is no more documentation related to this mode.

Have a great day,

Felipe
