"Connection timed out" error using j-link

Hello, I am trying to debug using a j-link connection but I am getting a "connection timed out" error. Below are the connections I am using to connect to the MIMXRT1020-evk. Right now I am using an SDK example project on MCUXpresso IDE. I have tried to change the boot mode configuration to serial downloader but that has not fixed anything.

Hope you are well.
Which debugger are you using? It will be helpful if you share the debug configuration.
Debugging in serial downloader is helpful when you use the OpenSDA of the EVK.
So I suggest you first regain control of the board using the Serial Downloader using OpenSDA and then try debug using SWD.
