i.MXRT1170-ADP SDK and Example Projects

I recently started evaluating the i.MX RT line of microcontollers with the i.MXRT1160-EVK and really enjoyed using MCUXpresso IDE to test out example projects.

Our project requires eMMC so we ordered an i.MXRT1170-ADP to continue our evaluation.

Unfortunately I have been unable to download the SDK or example project through either the MCUXpresso IDE or MXUXpresso SDK Builder (online).

Are the SDK and example projects for this development kit available through another location?

Hi,

ADP(Automotive Development Platform) Board is different with MCUXPresso SDK(General/Common). So, for i.MX RT1170-ADP board, please visit its offical websit to find Software: https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/development-boards-and-designs/i.MXRT1170-ADP#software

Hey Sam,

I did see the single example on that page. (I tried to link in my original post but I was unable to submit with the link.)

The i.MXRT1160-EVK has many examples for each of the peripherals and I was expecting this board to do the same.

Is the linked example the only one? Can I expect support for this board in the SDK and more examples in the future?

Yes, there are only one offical website entrance for this i.MXRT1170-ADP board as shown. Currently I am not sure whether this product will be updated later.

Comments about i.MX RT1170-EVK and i.MXRT1170-ADP: 

• Totally different with i.MXRT1170-EVK boards which mostly for industries and IoT,  it only provides one i.MXRT1170-ADP board with the associated firmware / GUI software(Compressed package) which shows some dedicated demos(READM.md).
• ADP(Automotive Development Platform) Board is for automotive.
