I am trying to run the "evkmimxrt1060_lpuart_9bit_interrupt_transfer" driver example for imxrt1060 evk on MCUXpresso IDE v11.4.1_6260 using *921600* baud rate and I am getting garbage prints on the console as shown in the image below.
By further investigation, it is concluded that the UART is showing garbage data on the console for a baud rate above *666666*. The error between the actual baud rate and the calculated baud rate remains less than 3% (which is the case described in SDK v2.10.1) for all the cases.
Also when I try to set the M7 bit in the control register and configure teraterm for 7 data bits, the console shows garbage data. However, when I clear the M7 bit and M bit of console register (which is the configuration for 8-bit data transfer) and configure the teraterm for 7 data bits, the console shows correct data.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Hi!
I am trying to test the 7 data bits using 115200 baud rate and the demo application I am using is "evkmimxrt1060_lpuart_9bit_interrupt_transfer" that is present in the MCU IDE.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
1) Can anyone help me with this issue?
-- It seems a bit weird and I'd like to know the baud rate when testing receive 7-bit characters, in addition, which SDK demo did you use for the 7-bit character test?
Have a great day.
