When use a RTC of RT1052, How to design SNVS schemaitc

I'm developing it with RT1052.

When it's in a power turn down state, I want to use the RTC function to maintain time and history and make it work again. I'm inquiring as below.

Q1. How do I connect SNVS pin? Do I only need to connect VDD_SNVS_IN (3.3V) coin battery as shown in the table below?

Q2. Please explain if i need another power configuration.

Thank you for your quick response.I'm a little confused when I see the circuit diagram you showed me. For make sure, VDD_COIN_3V and VDD_SNVS_3V3 are connected together, do I have to connect VDD_SNVS_3V3 as well?

Hi @Jimmy_Rabbit ,

Normally, VDD_SNVS_3V3 and VDD_COIN_3V will all power to SNVS domain.

Just think, if you use the normal power on the RT chip, then when the VDD_SNVS_3V3 is higher than your battery power, why you still need to use the battery?

Just when the main power is off, and your SNVS domain still need to be powered, you will use the battery.

So, the design should like what I share to you.

Wish it helps you!

Kerry

Hi @Jimmy_Rabbit ,

Yes, you are right, you just need to connect your 3.3V coin battery to the VDD_SNVS_IN.

This is the circuit for your reference:

No other points.
