Using EWM in RT-1176

Hi,

I'm using TPS3430 external watch dog interfaced with MIMXRT1176. And WDOG is configured as a Refresh cycle (i.e. HIGH to LOW  transition) must be applied between 8ms-57ms.

1)Tested  using PIT timer and toggling GPIO as a first approach.

2)But I come to know we can use EWM driver to refresh and control WDOG.

3) How to configure EWM, because it is asking:

In terms of Low-Register & High Register. Can you guide to use this EWM and setting timing configurations.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting NXP support.

In this case I would recommend the following we have the configuration registers information located on the RT1170 Reference Manual in the Chapter 80.5 y located the Memory Map/ Register definition.

I recommend this as the configuration will depend on your project.

If you require something as a point of start I can also recommend the EWM example located on the SDK of the RT1170 so you can see how this is configured and modify this. Also find in the following link the SDK API reference manual that can be useful.
